Remote Desktop is a feature that allows you to connect to and control Windows PCs, and if you are using a Mac, you can still use this feature with this Remote Desktop Connection client. Although still labeled as Beta, it's in its third version and has no serious bugs or reduced functionality as its Windows counterpart. It's been widely by Mac users who need to manage Windows servers using a Mac, or troubleshoot PC workstations remotely. If you are in a multi-platform environment then this client can help you with your day-to-day administrative tasks.

- Works fine. Comes from Microsoft, which makes it kind of official.

- Drops connections frequently. Screen updates are slower than CoRD (see recommendation).

- Wow! I no longer have to go to parallels to work on our Windows server!!!! This worked connecting to a Windows Server 2003 just like Remote Desktop Connection. While connected I brought up a SQL client on the server and had no problems. Performs very well! One less thing I have to use Parallels for.
